How to reach La Maddalena?
From Palau in Sardinia, there is a ferry to the main island of La Maddalena. The journey takes about 20 minutes, which will prepare you for the wonderful views that await you on the archipelago. From here you can reach the neighbouring island of Caprera via a causeway. In addition to La Maddalena and Caprera, there are 5 other large islands and numerous scattered smaller islands that belong to the archipelago. To reach the other islands, you can rent a boat or discover the archipelago on an excursion boat.

The pink beach of La Maddalena
A very special natural experience is the pink beach on the private island of Budelli. Spiaggia Rosa is located at Cala di Roto. The pink colour of the sand is created by coral fragments, shells, granite and shells. However, the beach itself is now closed to tourists because too many people have taken the sand as a souvenir. The entire island of Budelli, like many of the islands of La Maddalena, is uninhabited and for the most part completely untouched.
