What are Premium Routes?
What do we mean by 'Premium'?
Whether planning a single day trip or an entire vacation, many people like to rely on travel guides, books and specialist magazines. Not only is the information you are seeking extensive, its authenticity makes it reliable. Our aim is to deliver this data to you digitally, no matter where you are.
Our Premium Routes provide you with absolutely the highest quality content: mapped trails, detailed descriptions, key data and inspirational media that were all researched, recorded and digitized by professional authors / publishers. This way you not only get an expert recommendation, but also all the information you need for effective planning.
Where do Premium Routes come from?
Why do I have to pay for Premium Routes?
When preparing premium content, we work with professional authors and established publishers. Over the years, they have made a name for themselves for producing high-quality content. Our aim is to bring such content from books and magazines to our platform, without compromising quality when digitizing it.
Most of this content remains the property of the authors / publishers. As publications also carry a cost when purchased in stores, they are initially only shown as a preview. If you wish to access these routes in full, you will need to pay a fee for single use or sign up for a Pro+ subscription (to access the routes published by Outdooractive Premium, Outdooractive Climbing, KOMPASS, Schall-Verlag, topoguide.de and the ADAC hiking guide).
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PREMIUM AND TOP ROUTES
You can recognize Premium Routes by the Premium label that appears below the title in the preview. You can also search for such routes in the Route Finder by selecting the “Premium” filter. Equally important to our users are the diverse and carefully prepared routes that come from other Community members and partners and make such a valuable contribution to the platform. Those that are especially well researched and have a high rating are classified as "Top Routes" thus making them distinguishable from Premium Routes.
