What is a "Point"?
Mark your favorite places on the map with points and give them a suitable name. You can sort them by category and add descriptions and your own pictures.
How to create a point:
On your profile page:

- Choose the place on the map you want to mark.
- Click “Continue“.
- A window will then open in which you can assign a category to your point and add a title, description and media. Your media gallery will open when selected. You can choose between a previously uploaded picture/video or add a new picture/video.
- Select “Save“ to finish creating your point.
- The point will now be shown on the map with its accompanying symbol.
On the map:
- You can use the add layer ("more-button with 3 dots"), which is on top of the map layer.
- After you have selected "New point", a pin appears on the map. Move the map itself until the pin is over the place you want to mark. Once the pin is in the correct position, select the "Continue" button

Good to know
Your points are only visible to you and whilst they cannot be published, you can share them with friends.
In contrast to waypoints, a point is not linked to a route and can be set independently. Please note, however, that a point can also have the category “waypoint“ (just like the categories “mountain hut“ or “viewpoint“) assigned to it. These are completely unrelated to the waypoints linked to routes.
Click on your name in the top right followed by “Points“ in “My content“ to call up all the points you have created.
