BCMC group of 10. Left parking lot ~09:15. Had lunch at a false summit then descended onto a ridge to access ~30• runs at noon. Did 2 runs in the best fractals I’ve seen this winter (actually fairly nice to ride on) and turned back at 14:00. Overcast with ~1mm of snow at the top. Riding out was a bit difficult near the bottom because there were lots of flat spots in the trail; even on a fast snow day they likely would need to be walked/skated.

First time out with Andrew. Met up in Maple Ridge at 07:30. Started ascent at roughly 10:30. Summit just before 14:00. Some untouched turns near the top-thin snowpack (about a foot near the summit) with a sun crust, faucets, and MASSIVE surface hoar on sun exposed aspects which may turn into a problem layer. Between 1700m-1600 the HS on SW aspects was so low that we decided to bootpack out. Back at Andrew’s truck for about 16:30... fortunately just after sunset-we both forgot headlamps!

French-Haig-Robertson traverse, a classic winter ski tour, with some avi risk and a lot of work required. In good conditions, it's stellar.
