Maps and trails
The five routes of the Via Alpina (red, blue, green, yellow, purple) criss-cross the Alps on varied paths. An equally alpine affair are the high-altitude trails, which usually take between three and ten days. A total of ten Dolomite high trails (Alte Vie Delle Dolomiti) open up the South Tyrolean part of the Alps – one of the most impressive mountain landscapes on earth.
